Revised Creatures of the Deepby ~Thwan-Condu

To test how my photoshopping skills have developed I felt it would be a good idea to re-colour this old drawing. Here's my original colouring job: [link]

I'm not sure how satisfied I am with it. I'm definitely not completely satisfied with the original drawing on which it's based - or at least the male in the picture. I love the female, but his face is a little strange (I've never had a problem with the strangely twisted muscles, as that's what I intended.

I wish I could've got rid of more of the black lines, but I'm back to using photoshop cs1 now and I can't figure out how to replace the colour. Sigh. Critique, please.
